Miss Lonesome Comments

Standing in a salt marsh, part of a wetlands restoration project near Smyrna, North Carolina. Staff of the NC Coastal Federation danced to the music...

I sail regularly with a woman who has Miss Lonesome - we play it everytime we return to port - the whole Marina knows who is in and that the cork will be popped as soon as we tie up.

General Comments

I'd be happy to have you post my comments about the Quiet Waters Park concert on your web page. I really did mean it - I think the band had as much fun, if not more, than the audience. I was a real pleasure seeing that - and made the concert that much more enjoyable. One of these days we might actually be able to move from No. VA to the MRE. Too bad we didn't do it back in the late '70's when Bill Heim would take us out of Marmaduke's on Sunday night and show us 'for sale' house for $40K!

Thank you very much for appearing on 12:30 LIVE on WGAL-TV Lancaster, PA. By 2:00 on Friday, the visitor's center had already received 10 calls from the show. You did a wonderful job.

Thank you once again for your assistance and entertainment aboard the Half Shell. The British film crew that visited thoroughly enjoyed your company and "diddy," as do others exposed to your music.

Thank you for singing those songs. Everyone seemed captivated. "Miss Lonesome" is a beauty. For 2 -3 days after the party, it was still resonating in my mind!

Dear Jeff,

Our church retreat weekend has come and gone, and your songs were the hit of the talent show! Thank you, again, for letting us use "Good Hat Good Dog, Good Boat," and "Subaquatic Vegetation" (audience participated vigorously, by the way). Although our "River Rats" rendition lacked the grace of yours, still it met great acclaim and many kind remarks.

Keep on writing and singing ...

Hey Kevin,

You may remember us from the Friday, August 31st Sunset Cruise on the Woodwind. Who could forget us??? Andie and I were sitting up front and talking to you about Prescott, Arizona. Just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks for making that sailing trip so perfect. It was great cruising along, drinking a few cold ones, and singing along with you. Tell Jeff that his story about the crab and the hot tub was my personal favorite.

Like we mentioned, we'll be moving out to the Prescott area at the end of October. So keep my email address and send me a note the next time you come out to visit your family and friends in Prescott. Maybe we can meet up for a beer out there.

Take it easy, enjoy the rest of the summer, and thanks again -- we both had a great time!!!

I simply love their music and lyrics! My kids sing the songs on the way to school.
The music is reminiscent of tunes I think I have heard years ago: especially Ms. Lonesome reminds me of a fifties song; that is why I asked if the music is original.
I don't know where my friend got the CD., I'll have to ask. I'll come to your concert with the kids-they especially love "Mama's Beaten Biscuits".
Can't wait.
